Poems, retirement and success. What’s been going on at Henwood Court

Exam Success

Stephen Heslegrave, one of our Financial Planning Assistants, was awarded his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning which he enjoyed collecting at a presentation at the Council House in Birmingham with his wife Jenny. We are delighted for him as his hard work and dedication continues to pay off.

A Big Birthday for the Boss

Our Managing Director Nick turned 50 last week. His celebrations started in September in Ibiza where he revelled until at least midnight! He went to watch some of the football World Cup in Qatar but it seems even his 50thĀ couldnā€™t push England into the final. We had a lovely office celebration with Walsall Football Club cupcakes hand delivered by one of our fabulous clients. (Those of you who know Nick will know he is a loyal WFC fan, hence the cupcakes!). The other highlight of the celebration was the surprise performance by our lovely Lenea, who wrote and performed a brilliantly funnyĀ poemĀ about the boss! What a multi-talented team we have!

A Fond Farewell to PB

Earlier in the month we said bye for now to Paul Bradley as he retired after 12 years. Bye for now as he remains a great friend to us all and has to hand his Santa hat over at the Christmas party this year! Every year Paul has played the great part of Santa at our Christmas Secret Santa gift exchange. He is loved by us all and will be missed but we are looking forward to the extra storage space in his drawer now, as he has taken home his crisps!

Supporting the Salvation Army

This year we teamed up with Butcher Woods to take part in the Salvation Army Toy Appeal. We invited all of our staff to ā€˜Be a Starā€™ this Christmas and bring in a toy/gift for a child for Christmas. It was really humbling to support this worthy cause and lovely to shop for the gifts we knew weā€™d have loved as children. A big thank you to those who donated.
