Anna Kavanagh

Operations Director

Anna is an experienced entrepreneur and business owner.

Working in assisted conception for over two decades as Commercial Director Anna led the clinic to world first accreditation (ISO9002), management buy-out, growth, an organically funded move to a bespoke clinic and successful sale to global market leaders.

Highly qualified in business Anna has a Law Degree, Masters Degree in Business Administration, and the Institute of Directors post graduate Diploma in Company Direction.

Anna has had a long-standing relationship with Henwood Court and first met Nick and the team many years ago when she engaged them to deliver services to directors and wider clinic team.

In 2017 Anna experienced the value of this relationship and the Henwood Court approach to financial planning when she unexpectedly lost her husband – faced not only with her grief and that of their children but managing his business start-up and other commercial transactions.

Anna was able to confidently rely on the support and guidance of Nick and the team to help her restructure her finances putting measures in place to protect the children should anything happen to her.  Subsequently the team worked through financial scenarios with Anna enabling her to confidently make the decision to move to a new family home.

Anna joins the team as Operations Director to lead a project working on operational process review and business development.

Mum of three plus a Cockapoo, Anna spends her spare time exercising, hiking, exploring, socialising with friends’ project managing the renovation and extension of the new family home in the Staffordshire countryside.

The family have always enjoyed travelling and new adventures and Anna looks forward to further adventure – the children are determined that she learns to ski to join them on the slopes (they all learnt on school trips) and apparently a trip to Iceland is up there on the wish list.

A serial volunteer Anna is vice-chair of school governing bodies, a volunteer youth leader and a member of the Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee.

Anna cites one of her proudest achievements as running the London Marathon in 2019 raising nearly £5,000 for Cardiomyopathy UK in memory of her husband.
