Twenty years of trusted financial advice
Henwood Court was established in 2005 by Nick Platt. Having spent ten years in corporate roles within large financial institutions, Nick became tired of a world where clients were treated as numbers.
He decided it was time to create something uniquely different: a business centred around lifetime trusted financial advice.
A boutique wealth management firm where clients mattered more than their money, and successful professionals could live a rich life, not just a wealthy one.
And Henwood Court was born.
Twenty years on, that idea no longer belongs to one person. It belongs to the team who’ve built on it, and to the clients who’ve grown alongside us – many of whom have been with us since the very early days.
Henwood Court today
From humble beginnings, we’ve grown to a devoted team of experienced, handpicked staff – still with trust, integrity and care at heart. We hire for character as much as qualifications, because it’s the people who make the difference: the ones who know you, your story and what matters most to you.
In 2011, we moved to our current home, the 15th century Cruck Barn in Sutton Coldfield. It’s a warm, welcoming space our clients love, and the perfect spot for meeting the team.
Housing a growing team of almost 30, our Grade II listed home is now bursting at the seams. Frankly, we’re grateful for hybrid working!
Our obsession with exceptional service has already transformed the lives of numerous senior executives, business owners, successful professionals and retirees, but we won’t stop there: we’re dedicated to becoming the best at what we do, and we’re always looking for ways to serve you even better.
Proudly independent
In an industry of greater consolidation and increasing level of private equity ownership, we’re proud to remain fiercely independent – providing next level care, growing long term relationships, and doing things the Henwood way.
For us, independence isn’t a badge – it’s how we protect you. No external shareholders. No parent company setting sales targets. No in-house products to push. As a privately owned boutique, we’re able to work with a deliberately select number of clients and provide trusted long-term advice that is genuinely in our client’s best interests.
Every decision about your money is made here, in the barn, by people who know you – with access to the whole of the market and nothing to sell you but long-term stability, a highly personalised relationship and our best thinking.
