Henwood Court Announces Liberty Jamboree as Charity of the Year
By Victoria Platt
We are absolutely delighted to announce Liberty Jamboree as Henwood Court’s Charity of the Year!
A truly fantastic local charity, Liberty Jamboree is dedicated to creating opportunities, building confidence and helping children, young people and young adults with additional needs live life to the fullest.
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming a small group from Liberty to our offices at the Cruck Barn, giving us a lovely opportunity to get to know some of the people who make this community so special.
Getting to Know Liberty Jamboree
Based in Lichfield, Liberty Jamboree supports children, young people and young adults aged 8 to 35 across Staffordshire and the West Midlands who have special educational needs, disabilities, neurodivergent conditions or social, emotional and mental health needs.
At the heart of everything they do is a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to feel included, develop independence, build meaningful friendships and enjoy new experiences.
Through an incredible range of activities and programmes, including inclusive youth clubs, sports, social outings, supported holidays and opportunities to develop life and employment skills, Liberty helps its members grow in confidence, discover new interests and make lasting memories.
But Liberty is about so much more than the activities it provides. It is a welcoming, supportive community where individuals are encouraged to be themselves, celebrate their achievements and reach their full potential.
The charity also provides valuable support to families and carers, while championing greater awareness, accessibility and inclusion within the wider community.
The dedication, care and enthusiasm of everyone involved is truly inspiring, and the difference they make to so many lives is something very special.
A Special Visit to the Cruck Barn
To mark the beginning of our partnership, we were delighted to welcome a small group from Liberty Jamboree to the Cruck Barn.
During their visit, they had the opportunity to meet the Henwood Court team, introduce themselves and share stories about what they had been getting up to.
We also enjoyed showing them around the Cruck Barn and spending some time getting to know one another.
It was such a lovely visit, filled with conversations, smiles and the chance to learn more about the wonderful Liberty community.
Hearing about their experiences and the many activities they enjoy was a reminder of just how important the opportunities Liberty creates really are.
A huge thank you to everyone who came to visit us. It was so lovely to have you here!
Looking Forward to a Wonderful Year Ahead
We are incredibly proud to be supporting Liberty Jamboree as our chosen charity and are excited about what the coming year will bring.
We look forward to becoming part of the Liberty community, meeting more of the amazing people involved and finding meaningful ways to contribute to the fantastic work they do.
Whether through fundraising, volunteering or simply getting involved, we hope to play our little part in supporting a charity that brings so much joy, opportunity and connection to the lives of others.
Here’s to a wonderful year ahead with Liberty Jamboree! 💜
