Julia O’Leary

Professionally

At work

I have been working in Financial Services from 2020, previously at another IFA, working as an administrator.

My role is to get to know and work with new clients to Henwood Court making the on-boarding process as easy and smooth as possible for them. I will be proactive with clients, reacting in a timely manner to queries, dealing with issues and providing comprehensive support.

I will be using all my previous experience in building positive, supportive relationships to do this job well.

Personally

At home

I really enjoy the outdoors, I love to go out walking and hiking with my family and friends, taking my chocolate Labrador Riley with me.

I love to travel and grab any chance of going away on holiday whether that be a short break in the UK or further afield. Italy is probably my favourite country with Rome being my very favourite city.

I am a history fan, reading historical novels is one of my favourite past times along with visiting historical sites and watching period dramas on television.

As a family we all really enjoy watching sport, any sport really but football is top, with us all being Aston Villa fans!

Julia

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy working with the variety of people both colleagues and clients a like, building positive and lasting relationships.

What motivates you at work?

Being part of a supportive team who work together to get the job done well! Having the opportunity to learn on the job, I have found that everyday is a school day in financial services!

Who inspires you? Why?

I love sport, I totally admire the years of dedication top athletes put into to become the very best they can be and some even become the very best in the world; totally amazing. Once again, I found it hard to drag myself away from the TV when the Paris Olympics were on.

Tell us something people may be surprised to learn about you…

I was a primary school teacher for 27 years, 25 of these years I spent at one school in Balsall Heath, inner city Birmingham. It was a very demanding but extremely rewarding job and a wonderful school to work at.

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

Holidays! I have a holiday list on my notice board at home, it never gets any shorter; as soon as I have been to one destination, then I add another to the bottom! Coming up soon are trips to Lisbon, Florence and a big trip to India for my 25th wedding anniversary.
