Helen Allen

Technical Manager

Professionally

With a wide range of prestigious qualifications under her belt, Helen is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (PFS), a Chartered Fellow (CISI) and a Certified Financial Planner. With more than 28 years’ experience in financial services, Helen is an asset to the Henwood Court team.

Her role as our Technical Manager includes research and analysis of clients’ existing financial arrangements, as well as preparation of financial planning and suitability reports. She also supervises and coordinates the support team, implements regulatory updates and is a point of reference for the team’s technical queries. Helen is also a friendly face and point of contact for our clients; she’s well-versed in explaining complex technical details without the jargon.

Personally

Helen’s commitment shines through to her personal life as well. Her spare time is filled with church, music and running (not all at the same time!), with her husband by her side.

Helen is an accomplished church organist, as well as a trombonist for The Staffordshire Band. Not only that, but she has a passion for running: Helen has completed several 5ks, 10ks, half marathons and full marathons in both London and Brighton.

Importantly

All financial advisers in the UK must be registered on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) register and hold a valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS). In an age where financial scams pose a real threat, it’s important to make sure you don’t take financial advice from anyone who doesn’t appear on the FCA Register or hold a valid SPS.
