An exciting year for Henwood Court…..

As we approach the end of 2019, we have a few moments to reflect on what an exciting year it has been at the Cruck Barn.  With Nick becoming a published author, the Cruck Barn taking on a new interior, new recruits, exams passed, Bake Off, supporting the YMCA, our annual Golf Day, sponsorship of Ocean 5 and the anticipated arrival of Kitty’s 3rd child in the New Year, 2019 has certainly been eventful and it’s not over yet……

Everyone at Henwood Court was super proud of the boss (Nick not Vic) for his excellent book “Retireability”.  The book has been warmly received and continues to be a great tool for our business and popular read for business owners/executives consider or at the point of retirement.   Should you need any last minute stocking fillers, you can still purchase the book on Amazon – https://amzn.to/38QmR9R

We have certainly had a busy year for award ceremonies being strongly commended at both Money Marketing and Moneyfacts Awards in the retirement category, featuring again in the New Model Adviser journal’s top UK 100 Financial Advisers and being nominated for small business of the year at the Sutton Coldfield Awards and Professional Services Business of the Year at the Birmingham Business Awards.

With a superb new team in place following the recruitment of Tracy Foster (Financial Planner), Declan Kirby (Financial Planner), Matthew Lawton (Technical Assistant), Carmen Riches & Lisa Pietrzak (Financial Planning Assistants), and further recruitment planned, we will endeavour to secure more winning trophies for 2020.

Lynette, Tracey, Declan & Matthew continue with their professional learning, achieving some fabulous exam results.  We wish them continued success for 2020 where further exams are scheduled.

One of the biggest changes for 2019 saw the Cruck Barn go through a major internal face lift with the 3rd and final phase set to commence early in the New Year.  We thank all of you for your patience with these changes as at times the office represented more of a building site than a tranquil Cruck Barn!!

We continue to support the Sutton Coldfield YMCA sponsoring a number of events through the year the latest of which was the Henwood Court Bake Off.  Thank you again for popping along to the office to help us eat all of the 26 bakes which were on offer and for those clients that were unable to join us but supported us with their kind generosity online. While as we speak, a team representing Ocean5 are rowing across the Atlantic in aid of the Plastic Soup foundation, where we are proud kit sponsors. We take a pride in our Corporate Social Responsibility and will always look to support local causes with time and money where we are able.

2020 looks set to be another great year.

May I take this opportunity on behalf of Nick and the rest of the Henwood Court team for your continued support and wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

Our office will close at 12:30 on Christmas Eve and re-open for business on Thursday 2nd January 2020.
