A Warm Welcome to Hannah
We are delighted to welcome Hannah Lewis into the Henwood Court team. Hannah joins us as Client Service Associate and brings with her a wealth of experience from within the Financial Services profession.
Hannah is currently working towards her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and has a degree in English Literature & Classics and a Master’s degree in English Literature.
Hannah enjoys travelling, reading, keeping fit and spending time with her partner and their Miniature Schnauzer, Monty.
Hannah is enjoying getting up to speed and looks forward to meeting some of our clients in the weeks and months ahead.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
As a client, friend or associate of Henwood Court you will know that we don’t need an excuse to eat cake!
On Thursday 28th September from 10am, Henwood Court will be hosting a Macmillan coffee morning, however ours will go on all day until 4pm.
We would be delighted if you could join us at The Cruck Barn for a cuppa and a slice or two of home baked cake, all duly provided by the hands of the Henwood Court bakers, together supporting a great cause.
Everyone welcome.
All proceeds donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. If you are unable to join us but would like to support Macmillan, you can do so using the following link: Just Giving
To allow us to gauge numbers, it would be really helpful if you could confirm your attendance, by emailing info@henwoodcourt.co.uk
A Summer of Holidays
As the Summer holiday period draws to a close as the children start back to school, which seems to have gone by in a heartbeat, we can look forward to a full team back at Henwood Court. The team have been on a range of holidays this year, it’s been hard to keep track!
Here are just a few. Feel free to contact if you’d like to hear a bit more about any of the locations.
Many of the team took a risk on the weather by taking in some of the UK sights this summer.
Kit enjoyed a wet week in Poole, keeping the kids entertained in the arcade and swimming pool, whilst also using the trip as a chance to visit relatives in the area.
Pete had a little more luck with the weather on an enjoyable family camping trip near York.
Jason and the family have been sightseeing in London, followed by a week in Devon visiting family.
Elliot enjoyed a week of live music, entertainment and muddy fields at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
Some of the team, instead, opted to go abroad to provide some guarantees of a warmer climate.
Laura enjoyed the sandy beaches and clear waters of Protaras in Cyprus. The kids loved the water park and the family found it particularly interesting visiting the ‘Ghost Town’ of Famagusta.
Le has been on a exciting cruise around the Caribbean. Embarking the ship after 2 nights in Miami, which included an Everglades Safari Park Airboat Tour, she visited a number of Caribbean islands over 10 days – her favourite place is the Bahamas!
Carmen had an enjoyable trip to Florida visiting many of the local attractions, with Disney World being a particular highlight. In keeping with the Disney theme, Hannah is getting ready for a trip to Disney Land, Paris next month.
Edward has just returned from Marbella in Spain, and earlier in the summer Stephen visited the Algarve, Portugal, enjoying the nice beaches, food and a dip in the sea.
Nick and I enjoyed a cycling trip in The Dolomites, Italy. It was an amazing week, incredible scenery and some tough climbing with a great group of people.
On the topic of holidays, it came to light during an office conversation about the new UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) which replaced the EHIC which we had when we were in the EU.
The GHIC does the same, but despite being called a ‘Global’ Health Insurance Card, like the EHIC, it, too, only works within Europe. I know a number of our clients are well travelled but just in case you’ve not updated yours, please find the link below:

It’s been a great summer of sightseeing, visiting family and recharging batteries. We now look forward to the busy autumn months ahead.
