It seems a lot has been going on since our last newsletter!

We are delighted to welcome Simon White, Naomi Banks and Adrian Cutler to the (growing) HC family.

MacMillan Cancer Support

We had a fabulous bake off day for Macmillan Cancer Support where our team brought in some delicious homemade bakes, which were topped up with some additional ‘fakes’ from our non-bakers. We had visits from clients, professional partners and neighbours and also took considerable online donations which Henwood Court then matched providing an overall figure of just short of £2K. We were also awarded top fund raisers by Just Giving. A huge thank you again for our brilliant team and supporters.

Team Meeting

We had a team meeting at the fabulous Collaboration Suite at WAA Chosen in Sutton Coldfield where we spent time away from the office looking at our Business Plan for 2024. We ended the evening at Eleon Greek restaurant for a super meal. No plates were smashed during the evening!

Fiddler on the Roof

Ten of the team took a midweek night out to go and support our talented actress Lynette Coffey in Fiddler on the Roof at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall. A really enjoyable evening with a great performance from Manor Musical theatre company which really made us appreciate how much hard work and commitment goes into producing and performing these shows.

London to Brighton

Simon took part in a charity cycle from London to Brighton raising over £1,100 for the British Heart Foundation. Great to have another cyclist in the team!

Exam & Qualification Success

We are pleased to announce, we have had some exam & qualification successes for Elliot and Stephen!

• Elliot: AF5 – Financial Planning Process
• Stephen: AF8 – Retirement Income Planning

It’s great for us a business to celebrate these successes, and add more qualifications to our talented team.

Long service team members

We’ve celebrated some long service of our team with Jason (11 years), Lynette (9 years), Yvonne (8 years) and Le (7 years).  These guys are fundamental to our business and at the heart of the Henwood Family. Congratulations and thanks to them all and long may it continue.

Henwood Hotshots

We took two strong(ish) teams to Pickerings Solicitors annual charity quiz, supporting St Giles Hospice, a fantastic local charity, at Drayton Manor Park. We were 9th and 11th out of 26 teams so didn’t need to worry about winning the wooden spoon!

We are delighted for the sixth year running to be included in Citywire Top 100 adviser firms for 2023 celebrating the best of the professional financial planning community.

Happy Birthday Pete!

We celebrated Pete Roberts 50th Birthday too, Pete has been with HCFP for 8 years now and continues to be Mr Nice Guy.

Christmas Party

We celebrated Christmas last weekend at The Jam House in Birmingham, we always have fun together and it was a great opportunity to spend time socially with new members of the team. There were the traditional sore heads and feet the next morning. Yvonne was delighted as she thought she’d been given a personalised bottle of wine…
