What a few months it has been. Since our last Court Gossip in March, the office has been busy with new faces, big milestones, impressive achievements and plenty of reasons to celebrate. Summer is here, so there is lots to share.
A Warm Welcome
We are delighted to welcome two new members to the Henwood Court team.
Lydia Nash joined us in March as Associate Financial Planner and has already made a brilliant start. Last month, we also welcomed Olivia Martin as Senior Client Service Associate. Both Lydia and Olivia have settled in incredibly well, and we are very pleased to have them with us.
Welcome to the team, Lydia and Olivia!
We also wanted to give Olivia a special mention. Last week, she completed a London to Paris cycle ride, covering over 300 miles and raising money for Cure Leukaemia. She has raised over ÂŁ2,000, which is a fantastic achievement. Well done, Olivia.

Henwood Connect Two Years On
This week, we hosted a Henwood Connect refresh session with Nick and members of our tech team. The session walked through the key features of the platform and how to get the most from it.
If you were unable to join and would like a copy of the webinar recording, please let us know and we will send it over.
20 Years of Vicki
In May, we celebrated a very special milestone: 20 years of Vicki Platt at Henwood Court.
Vicki has played an important role in building long-standing client relationships, many of which have developed into genuine friendships over the years. Behind the scenes, she has also been instrumental in supporting Nick and helping to shape Henwood Court into the business it is today.

Exam Success
Huge congratulations to Stephen on passing his CII CF8 Long Term Care Insurance.
This is a brilliant achievement and a real testament to his hard work, focus and commitment. Stephen is now just one exam and eight more months of industry experience away from Chartered status, which is a fantastic milestone to be closing in on.
Well done Stephen!
UTV: What a Night
We have to mention it. What a result for the Villa fans in the office and many of our clients.
Elliot Newton made the trip to Istanbul for the occasion, and the whole office was following along. It was a memorable moment, and we are very glad he was there to see it in person.
Jo’s 60th
We also celebrated a very special birthday recently, as our resident Arsenal fan Jo turned 60. With Arsenal winning the Champions League too, it was fair to say Jo had plenty to smile about.
The whole team came together to mark the occasion with cake, music and a fantastic spread. Simon was on quiche duty, Laura brought sausage rolls, Olivia contributed devilled eggs, Lynette made a cheesecake, Georgia baked cookies, and Yvonne took care of the 60th birthday cake and sandwiches.
It was a lovely team effort and a great way to celebrate Jo. Happy 60th.

HC Grand Slam
We recently took the whole team to Four Oaks Tennis and Padel Club for a padel evening.
There was a full tournament, plenty of laughs, some competitive rallies and, for many of us, a first attempt at padel. After a closely fought evening, Nick and Yvonne were crowned champions.
It was a brilliant evening and exactly the kind of team event we enjoy. We will definitely be doing it again, so Nick and Yvonne may have some challengers next time.

Awards
The past few months have brought some fantastic news on the awards front.
Winning the Professional Adviser Award for Firm of the Year: Midlands was a very proud moment for the team. Peter Robbins accepted the award on the night, and it was wonderful to see Henwood Court’s hard work and continued dedication recognised at a national level.
We were also delighted to be shortlisted in two categories at the Money Marketing Awards 2026: Best Retirement Advice Firm and Small Advice Firm of the Year. To be recognised in both categories is a real honour. Role on awards night!
Finally, congratulations to Katherine, Laura, Georgia, Naomi and Helen, who have all been nominated for the Professional Adviser Women in Financial Advice Awards 2026. We are very proud of them and pleased to see their contribution recognised.
