Court Gossip March 2025

Welcome to the family

We’re excited to welcome James, who joined Henwood Court in early January! He has settled right into Henwood life, bringing great energy and enthusiasm to the team – not to mention his top-tier general knowledge! We’re delighted to have him on board and look forward to seeing the impact he’ll make.

Here Come the girls

We recently celebrated the birthdays of Naomi and Vonnie in true Henwood Court style – with cake, cake, and more cake! Yvonne baked a fabulous “30” cake for Naomi, while Helen kindly made a Percy the Pig-themed cake (Vonnie’s favourite!) for Yvonne.

To mark the occasion, we enjoyed a lovely Italian meal at Verona in Boldmere with the team. In honour of Naomi’s significant birthday, Le Appleby treated us to one of her brilliant poems, which, as always, kept us thoroughly entertained!

It’s brilliant to be part of such a great team that enjoys each other’s company both in and out of the office.

Wellbeing Walk

February’s weather wasn’t exactly on our side for our wellbeing walk, but March certainly made up for it! With the sun shining, we had a fantastic team turnout.

We seem to be picking up the pace each time! This week, Lynette was out in front, leading the way as our unofficial pacemaker.

This half-hour break is truly priceless, giving us the chance to get some fresh air and catch up with each other. Looking forward to the next one!

Team Meeting

We took some time off-site to discuss our plans for the year, and Moxhull Hall proved to be the perfect host once again. A change of environment is always refreshing, and this session was no exception.

Pete Robbins and Jason Ashman led the day as we reflected on the past year and looked ahead to what’s next. With an open forum, everyone had the chance to share their thoughts, ideas, and suggestions, making for an insightful and productive afternoon.

Of course, another highlight was the amazing lunch provided by the team at Moxhull Hall – a great way to round off the day!

Love is in the Air

Le Appleby was spreading the love in the office on Valentine’s Day, bringing in little treats for the team. ️

As always on this special day, Helen Allen’s husband set the bar high – putting the rest of the men to shame – as Helen received a magnificent bouquet of flowers!

Talent in the Team

Our lovely Lynette is taking on the role of Mrs. Walsingham (described as fussy, tiresome, and full of self-importance—her words, not ours!) in Half a Sixpence from 7th-10th May at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.

We always love supporting her and can’t wait to see her in action!
