At work

Simon has worked in the financial services profession for more than 30 years. As a Chartered financial planner, he has a wealth of technical knowledge to back up his experience. His philosophy is to holistically advise clients by putting them at the centre of everything he does and to ensure that any advice is tailored to their own specific goals and objectives.

He helps his clients live their best lives, remove the stress of money, and provide clarity and peace of mind.

At home

Simon lives in Tamworth with his wife, their two sons, and Amber, a fox-red Labrador. As a family, they enjoy travelling, particularly around Europe with their caravan, playing various sports, hiking, mountain biking, cooking, baking, making horrible noises with their various instruments and laughing a lot.

Getting to know

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Seeing the results of financial planning work come to fruition, sometimes many years later. I also enjoy helping clients understand how much they’re able to achieve, rather than worrying that they can’t do what they want.

Who inspires you and why?

The author, James Clear. He makes the complex simple and teaches how to easily develop great habits and processes, both at work and at home. Another author who inspires me is Iain M. Banks. His writing demonstrates that there’s no limit to imagination, and a great story doesn’t rely on genre.

Tell us something people may be surprised to learn about you…

I started piano lessons three days before my 50th birthday and I’m now grade 4/5.
