I am extremely proud to announce that Henwood Court has won “Best Retirement Adviser” at the Money Marketing Awards 2020.
This is a superb result for the team beating competition from both National and Regional firms.
In announcing the award one of the judges commented:
“Despite being an exceptionally high standard of entrants, the judges were unanimous in selecting Henwood Court for this award. Their approach stood out particularly in how they deal with clients taking into account their emotional and financial wellbeing that fits in well with the current climate, and their communication strategy around Covid-19 situation was very impressive”.
Winning such a prestigious award is fabulous recognition for our hard working and talented team. Good news and celebrations are few and far between at the moment, so it is nice to pat ourselves on the back and appreciate this moment
However, our judges are our clients.
Like many of you I am sure, the past five months has been an emotional roller coaster with personal and corporate pressures like I have never experienced. Standing-up in front of the team and telling them to go home is a moment I will never forget, while getting the business operationally functioning was a test that could not have gone better. On top of this our profession has witnessed huge challenges, including massive hikes to Professional Indemnity Premiums and Regulatory fees, that has and will continue to see consolidation and according to one recent article, will hasten the retirement of 52% of financial advisers surveyed.
The main reason Henwood Court has won this award is that we are very self-critical and we are always looking at ways to do things better; and that will never change. If you stand still you get left behind.
We are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We have invested a considerable amount of time over the past few months to review our operational processes and client propositions that will be rolled out over the next 12-18 months. These changes are designed to improve the client experience and ensure that we continue to be a leading independent business in these extremely challenging times for many years to come.
Finally, I would like to say a personal thank you to every one of our clients that made this award possible. The relationship we enjoy is personal or as one client called it – a professional friendship. We are very proud of these friendships and we look forward to sharing your moments and good times in the future.
Nick
