My first few months at Henwood Court have been a real eyeopener. One of the reasons I wanted to join the company was the great reputation for client service they have within the profession, but I have now had the opportunity to experience, first-hand, the massive amount of time and effort given for every client and the amount of work Henwood Court do for them. This is unique and really beyond anything I believe your typical firm will undertake. 

Based on my short time here at the company it is obvious to me that the client is central to everything we do. At the start of the process and before any financial decisions are made, they are encouraged to spend time prioritising important life decisions. I have found that this can take several meetings and patience is key here with no pressure to rush this important stage. It’s surprising how many of our clients tell me that they have not taken time away from everyday life to contemplate their future in this way before and how beneficial this process is for them. 

In my early days at the company, I have spent time preparing financial plans which I believe to be unique to Henwood Court in terms of the level of detail and content. They are bespoke to not only the client’s current situation but also consider their life story, future plans, aspirations and immediate family. 

I have also found that the scope of the service provided extends beyond that of typical advisory companies and that our clients lead very interesting lives with more complex financial issues.  I have seen how this is where the team come into their own with each client having access to their own Chartered Financial Planner and their own ‘financial PA’ where nothing is too much trouble.  

It’s re-assuring to know that I have an in-house team of experts fully qualified, experienced and very knowledgeable available and on hand to help and they, together with award winning service from our superb Administration team are always ready to go that extra mile to ensure excellent service for the client. 

As part of the service to clients we will work in partnership with Accountants and Solicitors to provide rounded financial planning. I have enjoyed getting to meet new professional connections all of which have been easy to work with and are very complimentary of Henwood Court. 

I have found the team here at Henwood Court to be friendly, supportive, and professional and they have made me feel very welcome. It certainly is a pleasure to be based at the Cruck Barn, which in itself is a unique and most interesting building. Latest technology is used to provide advanced cashflow modelling set on a wide screen in comfortable surroundings with the added advantage of reserved parking. 

It has been a steep learning curve but one I am enjoying. Here’s to the next six-months.
