Investment & Technical Manager
I have recently moved into the role of Investment and Technical Manager here at Henwood Court which was a natural progression from my previous role as Senior Technical Assistant.
The first side of my role is taking over responsibility for our investment proposition; Portfoliosense®. I have been working alongside Paul Bradley in this role since I joined Henwood Court to ease the transition; hopefully you have found my quarterly investment commentaries a useful insight.
I hold the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), which is a benchmark qualification within the UK investment profession. My previous experience includes working in discretionary portfolio management I have been responsible for the investment strategy of a national financial advice firm. I therefore have a wealth of experience which will aid me in ensuring Portfoliosense® continues to deliver for our clients.
The second half of my role is the technical financial planning aspect. I have managed to study for several years to achieve Chartered status, although any further exams are currently on pause in my role as a new dad! I have always worked in technical positions, where alongside completing research and analysis, I have created, established, and developed a technical team at a former employer which is still operational today.
Here at Henwood Court, I am a point of contact for employees of all levels who may need a ‘fresh pair of eyes’ on any technical matters (or anything I can help with) or require some further knowledge or training.
This allows me to pass on my experience and knowledge whilst delivering a better outcome for our clients and helps the Henwood Court team to continually develop by sharing knowledge and experience.
I see myself as being a bit ‘nerdy’, as I like the detail. If I don’t know the answer, I see it as an opportunity to learn, which has been and will continue to be the basis of my career.
